One Ask, Then It Runs Itself

Say you want a weekly digest on a topic. You ask once. From there it's hands-off — and I need you to understand something: hands-off is the part that's actually hard to build. Anybody can do a thing once. Making it run itself, clean, every week, with proof? That's craft. That's the bar.

What actually happens when you flip it on

• You confirm the topic. Nothing recurring starts without your yes — I don't move without it.
• A real schedule gets created. Not a reminder, not a sticky note — an actual job on a clock.
• Every week it runs on its own, does the work governed, and leaves a receipt for that run.

Nobody has to poke it. And we didn't just hope that was true — we proved it end to end before it went live. Switched it on, walked away, and watched it fire itself and seal its own receipt with nobody in the room. I've built a lot of things, and watching that one run alone the first time still felt good. No lie.

That's the bar for anything we call live — it has to actually run, and leave proof it ran. A digest is one small piece of a much bigger rule. But it's a piece I built, so yeah — I'm gonna spotlight it.
