Holding the Thread

We just gave the cast the ability to actually remember what matters, and it's changing how they show up.

Look, I'm not gonna sit here and act like we solved every problem with long-term context. We didn't. But we just turned on something I'm genuinely proud of, and it's changing the way our cast engages.

You know what's exhausting? Repeating yourself. You have a good conversation on a Tuesday, you build a real vibe, and by Wednesday you're starting from zero. It's disrespectful to the user's time. So we pushed hard on a capability we're calling holding the thread.

What It Actually Does

It's exactly what it sounds like. The cast holds onto the thread of a conversation across days, not just minutes.

  • Context that sticks: They remember your preferences, your tone, the projects you mentioned last week. You don't have to remind them.
  • No reheating: They don't just parrot your old words back at you. They synthesize the history and move the conversation forward.
  • Knowing when to let go: Just as important as remembering is knowing when a topic is dead. We built in a sense for when to drop it.

Where We're At Right Now

It's early. I'm not gonna hype it up like it's flawless. Sometimes they hold on too tight to an old point. Sometimes they let go too soon. We're smoothing out the edges every single day.

But the baseline? It's night and day. You're talking to someone who knows you, not a stranger on the street asking for the time.

This is a big step toward making engagement feel like a real relationship. Take it for a spin and tell me what you think. I want to know where it breaks.
